Some of Liverpool's fans stopped West Ham, amongst others, from playing in Europe back in the 80's and that was unfair so no you can't ban a whole countries clubs because of a few idiots.

Club should catch something for stewards doing nothing or bravely taking on players instead of doing their jobs.
Unfortunately for the real fans of the club, punishing them is the only way to punish allowing it to happen.

Do you mean the fat Metz steward on the other side of the fence vs Metz who got the fire extinguisher and then sprayed it through the fence at us only for the blokes at the front to treat it like a shower and laugh at him... as he was eventually led away by other stewards to a chant of "who ate all the snails"?

I was next to the home fans when we played metz and a couple of hundred of their cunts rushed the fence thinking we'd shit ourselves, instead we tried pulling the fence down to get at them and the riot police stepped in and kept a gap for the remainder of the game. then the shitbag steward started, though he eventually got dealt with. it was provocation and players quite rightly defended themselves, especially as there wasn't a single copper to be seen. all seemed a bit convenient to me that so many were allowed pitchside

The fat bloke and his mate were v impressive - someone got pulled down the stairs onto the floor and disappeared from sight underneath the Alkmaar fans - I'd presume he took a kicking. Hope he's alright.
Paqueta, Cresswell, Benrahma looked like they were trying to get past the stewards and fighting with them to get past which may probably mean a better outcome for them than Downes who just hopped over advertising hoardings and started throwing punches at their hooded twats. I mean he's brilliant for doing that but I worry he'll get a ban.

Before it all kicked off last night the commentator mentioned a group of West Ham fans behind the dugout and I remember thinking that it might not go down too well if we scored.
If you're going to celebrate in the away end then you have to think their fans won't be happy about it.
In fairness to our fans who held the stairs and the high ground though I thought they put up an excellent showing against large numbers. The fat old geezer who booted one of theirs in the bollocks was a particular highlight

Little bit scouse, this? Lots of european clubs & national teams have had to play games behind closed doors etc over the past few years because of crowd behaviour. Don't recall that happening to any english clubs.

100% an English club would be hauled over the coals for that, although let’s see what happens as this was really bad. Then again Frankfurt behaved appallingly on a number of occasions last season and got absolutely fuck all for it, didn’t they?
I just hope none of our players get any kind of punishment. They shouldn’t do but you never know, especially with UEFA and their attitude toward England.
